Hey lookie!

It's been less than two weeks and here I am for an update...can you believe it?! We'll see how long I have though as K-Girl is napping and so is E-Man. That never lasts too long.

So since the last update...

Last Saturday (the 21st) was my friend Leah's wedding. K-Girl was the flower girl and I was a bridesmaid. It was a busy day. I was worried about E-Man and the fact that he was probably going to be grumpy because he would want to sleep and not liking my Kozy anymore and the fleece pouch was a definite no go outside in the middle of July. So we went over to Lancaster to this awesome little children's boutique called BellaBoo. I'm in love with the store. I was looking online at HotSlings and it listed them as a retailer. So I figured instant gratification - I could go there and get a HotSling that I could wear at the wedding. I'm so glad I did. I ended up getting a Moby Wrap too! I was looking at an Ergo but unfortunately he sits in that very similar to the Kozy so he wasn't happy in it. BellaBoo is at 50 N. Queen Street in Lancaster. I can tell you that it's my new destination for baby and children gifts. It's a great little store and the woman who runs the store actually knows about the carriers and everything else she carries. It's nice to find a store like that. Now all we need is a brick and mortar cloth diapering store and I'll be all happy as could be. Here are two pictures...first E-Man in the HotSling and second is E-Man in the Moby. He LOVES both and is sleeping in the Moby right now after an afternoon of him waking himself up every time I laid him in his bassinet. I gave up and needed some quiet time. Anyway...

(Yes he always tends to sleep with his hands on or near his face hahaha)

OK so after that plug for BellaBoo...haha now onto the wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. Leah was a gorgeous bride, K-Girl was so stinkin' adorable, and I enjoyed a day being all dolled up...but if my "crocs" would have matched my dress I would have been an even happier Momma. haha Yes my feet were KILLING me. K-Girl LOVED dancing at the reception. She now refers to it as the "dance party" and the chocolate fountain was a definite highlight for her as well. E-Man did pretty well and spent a lot of time in the sling sleeping. Unfortunately during the ceremony he was out with my inlaws crying in the parking lot. But what can ya do? So here are a few pictures to share...

OK so what else? Thursday the 26th we made it over to Ari's finally for a playdate. K-Girl enjoyed playing with "A" and I enjoyed the moment here and there to have some conversation with "A" - or at least start a bunch of conversations. haha And Friday we went out to lunch with Amy and "H" which was very nice. Mom came over Friday afternoon and she actually was able to hold E-Man and have him not scream his head off for a change. That's one for the books. haha

Saturday we went up home for the first time since E-Man's birth. We started at Dad's house at 10:30 which was really a nice visit. K-Girl had a blast with the puppies - E-Man showed his true colors and had a nice scream fest for a while. But it was really nice. It had been 3 months since we'd been up. Then we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house to visit with them. Linn was there and my grandparents came over as well. We had a nice lunch and visit with them. K-Girl played with Linn most of the time and had a good time. E-Man was very content on the floor and just took everything in. It was nice. Then we found out the the Mifflinburg Fireman's Parade was that evening so at 4 we went back over to my Dad's and sat out front for the parade. K-Girl had a BLAST. We now have a HUGE bag of candy. CRAZY! The parade lasted an hour and a half. It is still funny to watch a parade in Mifflinburg. Makes me feel old. I used to feel kind of old myself when I was in band but man those kids looked YOUNG and Mr. Wagner is looking ummm well a bit grayer...however there have been many band camps and compititions since my day in band so it's all understandable. ;) haha But yes we all had a good time. E-Man slept through the entire thing. Then after that was over we went to Sheetz to get some drinks and headed home. Right before we got back to 15 E-Man started crying and really didn't stop till we got home. It was a lot of fun....yeah extreme sarcasm right there. We stopped for dinner at McDonald's in Enola and countless potty breaks. Yeah K-Girl drank an ENTIRE bottle of gateraide - one of those sippy top ones. *L* She drank her entire bottle faster than me too! But we did eventually make it home at 9 and worked on getting everyone ready for bed.

Here are the kids with their great grandparents...

Sunday was our first day back to church since E-Man's birth and well it's been a while since we'd been there. We've made a recommitment as a family to make church a priority. We enrolled K-Girl in Sunday School which starts on September 9th. But K-Girl had a nice time at church as well. She decided to go up to Children's Sermon but it took her like 4 times till she made it up and sat down. She would go so far and then turn around and come back to me. When she made it up there she sat there for like 3 seconds before the Pastor excused the kids to Children's Church. But at least she made it up. Next week should be smoother. Then she stayed out and did the craft. She was very proud of herself. After church we went to the mall for E-Man's 2 month pictures at 12:10. I need to see if they are online still or scan in the picture we got. When I do I'll share it. Then we got Chinese for lunch and came home and ate and had some down time. After that we went back and did some shopping at Gymboree because we had $50 in gymbucks so we got $103.00 of clothes for $53. I was happy about that. More clothes for school and whatnot. And then we went and picked up pictures. From there we went to Weis for a small amount of groceries. And then FINALLY home. It was quite the rush rush weekend.

So I guess that's my update for the time. E-Man's up and I just heard K-Girl talking so I should get going. I'll leave you with two last pictures of E-Man this morning...

OK toodles!

It's been a month?!?!

Ok so I'm finding it hard to update on a regular basis anymore. I'm also finding that being a mother to two is harder when the second one stops sleeping ALL the time and is alert a lot more requiring your attention more and more. So that being said...I don't get to just sit down and write much anymore.

We are all doing well though despite the lack of free time. E-Man is 7 weeks old now. He's had a rash on his face for the past couple weeks and at first we thought it was heat rash so we just let it go and then it started to get worse so I decided to call the doctor. Well they said it sounded like neonatal acne to them and there wasn't much they could do if that was the case. So then it started to get more blotchy and dry and something told me that it just wasn't acne so we took him in yesterday to be checked out. Well it seems he has eczema. I was right with my hunch. So now he has to get lotioned up a few times a day and on the flare up we have to use hydrocortizone cream till it gets under control. I'm glad to know what it is though. They weighed him at the visit too and he was 12 lbs 11 oz. Getting to be a big boy - not that I needed a scale to tell me that. ;)

He's been a very fussy little boy lately and a momma's boy to boot. He cries when just about anyone other than momma holds him which gets to be a bit taxing. I'm hoping that as we get the eczema under control that maybe his fussiness will also get under control as I can imagine the rash does not feel good.

K-Girl's doing well too. She had her birthday party and is now a THREE YEAR OLD!! Oh my goodness. She had a great time and just loved the party - the cake - everyone singing to her and all of her friends here to play with her. She was in heaven. And she got quite a bit of loot as well. She's a hoot though. You ask her how old she is and her most common answer is "ten". Not that she doesn't know otherwise because she's snicker and tell you "three", but she's a ham.

Both kids had their check ups E-Man had his 1 month and K-Girl had her 3 year.

K-Girl is doing great - 39 lbs and 39" - The doctor said she is doing good and the only thing he's concerned about is to make sure she keeps up with healthy snacks and watches her juice and stuff so she doesn't gain too fast. We got a bit lax about things and she's been drinking a lot of juice so now she's down to 50/50 water/juice but she still won't drink straight water. But it's a start. The child is always hungry though which is why we need to also watch the healthy snacks. She was happy that she didn't have to get any shots.

E-Man is also doing great. He's weighed 11lbs 13 oz and was 23 1/2" (gaining almost 3 lbs and 2 1/2" since birth). He's 90% for weight and 95% for height. He's following right in his big sister's footsteps - although I think he's heavier than she was but I'd have to check that to be sure. He got one shot and did alright. I nursed him right after and he was fine by the time we left...although he's was a bit on the ouchy side for a few days after it. K-Girl always did really well with them so it's a bit different with him.

I also got their pictures done at Picture People on Sunday July 1st. They turned out soooo good. Our plan was to go in and buy one sheet of each...well that didn't exactly work out like we planned. K-Girl just did everything they wanted and she held E-Man so well which she wouldn't do the first time we got pictures. (She's growing a bit more fond of her baby brother.) And we got some really cute ones of E-Man too. So a small fortune later... *L* Here are their 3 year/1 month pictures - the ones we purchased. If you would like to see the rest go check out the photobucket account. :)

Aren't they good?

And just for fun I put this together today. You can definitely tell they are siblings...

Alright well I guess that's good for now. I'm not sure what else to write about. I'll leave you with a few more pictures for fun. :)

The night before K-Girl's birthday party E-Man was being well normal and wanting to be held so I decided to attempt the back carry with my Kozy. It was my saving grace once again. K-Girl and I made 48 cupcakes and E-Man was content as could be.

Unfortunately he's decided that he doesn't like to sit froggy-legged anymore and he's too tiny to comfortably wear it with his legs out so we were out of luck for a while. After about 2 weeks of just toting him around and getting a massive muscle on my right arm *haha* I used the pouch and he's QUITE content in that again. I just wish it was something other than fleece. It's kind of warm. But at least he's happy and I can get some work done again....or well a blog done. haha

Birthday girl K-Girl blowing out her candles...

E-Man on the Fourth of July in the same outfit that K-Girl wore on her first 4th...

Looking super cute in his SIX MONTH outfit! I told you he's a big boy. ;)

Daddy and K-Girl playing in the Dora sprinkler. She LOVES playing in the water! ...And Daddy didn't mind it either. ;)

Super curly hair. I just love it when her hair curls up so nice. It was very humid though.

And one last one of E-Man just a couple days ago. His looks are changing again.

OK until next time...
