K-Girl caught one. It's her first ever stomach bug. At 4 1/2 years I should be extremely grateful that this is her first, but it sucks too much to be grateful. She's learning fast that puking is one of the least desirable things that ever happens to the human body. She's so scared to puke that she has befriended the bucket and will not put it down. She's puked on her beloved "Honey" (Siamese Cat Webkinz) which was traumatic. She's also puked on herself, on me, on two blankets, the floor, and so on and so on. So this morning Mr. Bucket is her best friend.
I feel so bad for her. She's really got it bad. On top of the puking she has a high fever. Last night it got to 103.6 using our ear thermometer. We decided to call the doctor to see if she needed to be seen because of the fever and they said that because it's the ear that you add one degree so her temp was actually 104.6 and so yes she should come in. I took her in at 7:15 last night just to find that she has a virus that she just needs to ride out. Poor thing. Today her temp was 103.3 (104.3). I wish it would just break. I know that when that happens she will feel so much better.
She is picking at food so that's a good sign. She's ate about a quarter piece of toast for both breakfast and lunch along with an ice pop and some 7 Up. She's keeping it down but refused to put that bucket down even during lunch.
But also note that this little lady is the most whiny little thing when she's sick and oh.my.gosh does she tattle. E-Man can't do ANYTHING without her tattling (in the extremely whiney little voice) on him. I can't leave her side for risk of tears. So here I sit cuddling with her while her brother naps and I long for sleep as well. She pretty much left The Husband and I get no sleep until about 3 am. E-Man was up at 7 and of course she slept till 8:15. I'm beat. I'm praying no one else catches it though. Spring anyone?!

Oh no poor thing, I hope she feels better soon. I cannot stand to throw up. It's the worst.
My 14 month old got a bad bug, and threw up for 10 days recently. My other kids have had something similar, but not like he did! So sorry for your little one. My oldest didn't get his first stomach bug until he was three... there is something to be said about healthy kids!
OY.
We just got over that. It was nasty. Hope you all don't get it like we did!!
Oh, how awful! I hope she feels better soon, a tummy bug really is one of the most unpleasant things!

Poor girl! Having pukey kids is even worse that puking yourself - especially when they are babies and puke without warning everywhere. ick. Gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it!
Oh no, I hope she feels better soon.
Poor little thing... and poor Mama too!! Hope it is a quick bug! We make Gator-Aid/Pedia-Lite popsicles and that entices our little guy to get some rehydration. Prayers for your fam!!
Oh not fun!! Good luck!
Oh no. Poor thing. She escaped a nasty bug for quite a while!

Bubbie went 3 yrs and 9 mos before getting a stomach bug! :) Then heck set in and he got 3 in a row! :( Sorry she's feeling bad and hoping she;s better today and NO ONE else catches it!
POOR BABY!!
that's the WORST feeling!!! ((especially when you have to watch your kids go through it!!))
I hope she gets to feeling better soon! My kids have yet to experience the stomach bug - too! I'm glad she likes the bucket and actually understands what to do in the bucket!!
