I was barely keeping up with the girl doing the modified versions of the exercises with 3 lb weights at the beginning of the week. This week I am able to do push ups for the entire time, keep up with the other chick doing the complete exercises, and I have raised all the weights to 5 lbs save for that side lunges & raises. I feel a difference. It definitely still hurts, but I'm able to keep up and that gives me a definite sense of satisfaction.
My starting measurements can be found HERE. This week I'm...
- weight - 158.0 (+0.4)
- bust - 35 1/2 (- 1/2")
- waist - 37 (- 1")
- hips - 39 1/2" (- 1")
- bmi - 24.7 (Normal weight = 18.5-24.9) (no change)
I have completed day 8 of shredding. I have 2 more days to go and then I will move on to Level 2 for the next 10 days at least. I'm hoping I can move to Level 3 at day 21, but we'll see if I can when we get there. Because if I am being quite honest, moving to Level 2 is a bit terrifying. I don't like it when she hurts me. ;)
I have not been eating so great, but I have been working on my portion control. Last night we went to the pizza buffet and I was proud of myself. I wanted to get another plate of pizza, but I was full so I stopped. It's a little step, but I think it matters. I need to work a little harder on that front.
Until next week...

Good for you for hanging in there!
"Go Mommy! Go Mommy!!"
(i have my girls chant that for me to keep me going...so I'll send a couple on over to you).
Keep up the good work!!
:)
I'm so glad to hear you're Shredding. Oh, how I remember those first few days of Level 1. OUCH. To be honest, by the time I reach Day 11 and started Level 2, it wasn't so bad. It was hard, but I was so glad to be done with those side lunges and anterior raises (hated them!). I kinda got tired of Level 2, but I kept going and now I'm on Level 3 and all I can say is WOW! I'm not as sore, but I do feel it in different places. It's much harder, but I can really keep up and that makes me so happy!
Keep up the good work and you'll see that number on the scales go down soon!
congrats on the inches! :) you're changing the way your body looks, much more important than a number on a scale. imagine what'll happen when you start changing your eating habits too. :)
WTG in the shrinkage!!! portion control is a GREAT FIRST step!!! level 2 is a whole different level of 'pain' :) but oh so worth it
AWESOME! Keep up the great work!! Sticking with something (especially something that makes you hurt!) can be a HUGE challenge ~ as can portion control! ~ but you're making great headway! Keep it up!!
Good job lady! You're doing great!
I bought the dvd today! It was on sale at Target so that was an extra push for me. Another mom of 3 noticed the shred in my cart and totally came up to me and was telling me that she loves it and it's quick and on and on. I am grateful for all the positive comments about this video cause I did not want to buy another video. But I guess $13 is going to allow me to cancel my $60 a month Y membership, woot!
good for you...stick with the Shred and you will lose weight and inches!!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my site!!
It makes me happy that you're shredding with us!!

Losing inches is fantastic!!
Good for you for keeping up on the shredding.
I am sure next week your number will improve:)
Chalene Johnson (Turbo Jam) wrote something on her blog a while back about how you usually gain weight in the first few weeks of working out. Something about muscles retaining water... I'll see if I can find the link!
Here it is:
