Crafty

As I said yesterday, there hasn't been an awful lot of crafting done due to the fact that my room is still a work in progress. I hate working in clutter so I haven't.

But I have done a couple things that I haven't shared with you yet.

First is a blanket I made for a special little guy. It was a work in progress for months. Mostly the fact that it took like 2 months to get around to weaving the ends. I'm terrible about that. I consider it done, but it's not. Luckily it made it to her before her little man decided to make his appearance though.

Isn't he just precious?!

The other project I did was a nap blanket for K-Girl to take to kindergarten. The teacher asked us all to bring in a beach towel or a blanket approximately that size so that when they get mats out for rest time they have something to lay on other than a plastic mat. I thought that it would be a nice time to make K-Girl something special to have with her while at school. I instantly had it all figured out in my mind how I wanted to do it, but I let K-Girl give me some direction in color. This is how it turned out...

Don't mind the alignment issue with the print if you notice that. I did some copy/paste of the fabric over the rest of K-Girl's name. ;) You get the idea. The rest of it is actually there.

The other side is a soft flannel solid pink.

I zig-zagged to lock each letter onto the top of the blanket before I sewed the two sides together. Love the way this turned out. Although this was definitely the most tedious part of the entire blanket.

So those are the most recent projects that I haven't shared with you yet. I need to get that room done so I can get some more things cranking. Christmas is coming, you know!? ;)
