365 - Week Eight

DAY 50

Day050of365

Ok so for honesty's sake, this is a picture from Day 49. Yep, that's right. I missed a day. Lucky number 50. Ah well. Keep going.

This little potty has been seeing a lot of action lately. It's exciting stuff!

DAY 51

Day051of365

My daughter loves the Skippyjon Jones books (and so does her Daddy & Momma). She picked this one up with her Christmas money along with a little stuffed Skippyjon cat. He's a siamese cat that thinks he's a chihuahua. Very fun books. Tonight listened to the author read this book on CD. It was fun to hear the correct pronunciation of some of the Spanish words that I'm not so familiar with in the book.

DAY 52

Day052of365

A few ladies in my playgroup got together for a brunch at this great little restaurant in Lancaster city. It's called Wish You Were Here. They serve a lot of local foods, cage-free eggs, vegan and vegetarian options. Our table all decided to get the Swedish Oatmeal Pancakes which were pretty amazing. If you find yourself in the area you should definitely check it out.

DAY 53

Day053of365

I was crocheting and she was snoozing.

Anyone else think that the eye thing is rather creepy.

DAY 54

Day054of365

We were having dinner with our friends this night and "N" had an extremely wiggly tooth. I don't even think wiggly was the word for it as it was just hanging in all these weird positions. She was not interested in the little help that it would have taken to get it out. Finally by the end of the evening, after a little coaxing she got the tooth out. I couldn't miss the opportunity to get a picture of K-Girl and N showing their first missing tooth. It seems like not too long ago that they were just getting those teeth. Time flies.

DAY 55
Day055of365

It was only fair to get a picture of the other pup passed out as well.

DAY 56

Day056of365

The time I turned on the car to head back home after picking K-Girl up from the bus.

I had it all planned that I was taking the picture of the time the bus came, but then I looked out the window and there was a boy chasing...or rather watching his dog run out on the road. It's a pretty busy road and he was somewhat young so I jumped out of the car and helped him get his dog. I chased the darn thing off the road three times - one when the bus was sitting there - before the boy actually managed to grab it.

Does that restaurant play a lot of Pink Floyd?

Please say yes...

I am so proud of you for keeping up with the pictures -- despite missing a day. That's my advice to everyone -- just pick up your camera and keep going.

That first shot reminded me of a giant frog toy box I had as a kid. Then I read that it was a potty, and it sort of killed the memory :) We put a lot of weird things in that toy box, but we never did THAT.

Fun pics you have here! Smiling faces, sleeping dogs, great books and toys. My favorite is the sleeping dog...despite the mysterious looking eye. :)

In the potty picture, how can anyone do anything important with those big ol' eyes watching every move. That would pretty much turn the valve off in my book! Lol!

Love the snoozing dog with the crazy eye. Wish I was snoozing like that right now...

Great photos! Love Chris's comment! LOL That's classic! But I really do wish I was there and could try some of that yummy food.

I love the toothy shot! What a fun memory for them to keep!

The snoozing dog shot reminds me of my brother. NO! Not because he's a dog (he's actually quite handsome)! Because he sleeps with his eyes open. The first time my sister in law saw him sleeping she thought he was dead. Heh.

Hi Kelli,

I have been checking in at your blog for a little while now and love it! You have such fun stories and my children are going through similar situations (we just lost our first tooth just days after your little one).

I too am challenging myself to the 365 challenge. I thought it was too funny that we both missed day 50. I knew I was going to miss a day and was a bit disappointed.

So here I delurk and tell you how much I enjoy your blog. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, that dog thing is actually kind of scary. I am glad that you were so willing to help the little boy not get hit by a car.

I love how sweet you dog looked while he was taking a nap.

I also loved the shot of your two little toothless girls. I have one that is hanging on to her first tooth like it was made of gold. Why do they do that?

Looks like a great week! Thanks for stopping by to visit mine!

So this Skippyjon Jones or whatever it was - Emmy brought home a book from school last week and that book was crazy! I don't speak Spanish at all and it was long and I wasn't so sure... huh, maybe we will need to try one again. :)
