A K-Girl Update

So since my last update was about E-Man's birthday I figure this one will be for K-Girl...

Kindergarten has been such a fun experience for her. She has LOVED school and loved her teacher even more. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher than she had this year. With all her anxiety problems that came up Mrs. G has helped K-Girl get through them so well. She's definitely grown a lot this year.

About a month from the end of school the kindergartners got together and put on a concert for the parents. They sang a bunch of different songs and had the hand motions and all that went with them. Very cute. I tried to upload some video, but it turns out the video camera is dead so I'll have to see if I can do that later. Meanwhile I have some pictures. I wanted to get a picture of K-Girl before we left as she rarely lets me do anything to her hair and she rarely wears dresses. It's fun to see my little tomboy all dressed up cute.

And after a few more pictures like that she did give me a pretty smile without all the silly...

And then I got a couple during the performance but most of them didn't turn out very well. Here's one of the better ones...

Another picture I thought I'd share is from after our Mommy/Daughter day. K-Girl and I went out in the morning and we did some shopping and errands and whatnot together. At the end of it we stopped in at Starbuck's to get some gift certificates and I wanted a frappuccino. Well since we were having a special day I told K-Girl she could get her own frappuccino too. She got a non-coffee one - double chocolate chip. :) When we got home I was talking with The Husband and later found her underneath the kitchen table sipping her frap and drawing. I just thought it was funny.

June 9th was K-Girl's last day of school for the year. She was actually quite upset and didn't want summer to come. Like I said, the child LOVED school. She's coping alright though. It wasn't till I looked back to the first day of school that it really hit me how much she's grown. Just look at that...

It's hard to believe that come Fall I'll have a first grader and a preschooler...
